Williamson joins Atradius
Trade credit insurer Atradius (www.atradius.co.uk) promotes Chris Williamson to senior account manager within its Cardiff-based strategic accounts team.
Williamson returns to Wales for the new role after nearly three years at Atradius’ Northern Hub as business development manager, where he was responsible for developing broker relationships and underwriting new business policies.
Originally joining Atradius in early 2018 as part of the renowned Welsh Financial Services Graduate Programme; a collaborative programme of work, training and academic study designed and delivered by the University of South Wales with leading financial organizations, after a six-month placement at Atradius, Williamson secured a full-time role within the strategic team where he now returns as senior account manager.
“I’m really happy to re-join the strategic team in Cardiff. It’s a wonderful team with a lot of experience to continue to learn from and develop. There is also a fantastic and mixed group of clients, each of which will pose their own unique challenges and opportunities. In return, I hope to bring a fresh perspective from working in one of Atradius’ UK regions on how we operate and can best work with our customers,” says Williamson. “I am grateful for both the kindness and support that my northern colleagues and brokers have offered during my time in the Northern Hub and to my new team for the faith they are putting in me.”
“The graduate scheme is a fantastic way to start your career at Atradius, allowing you to learn and develop skills on the job with the backing of an academic institution,” says Richard Reynolds, Head of UK Strategic Accounts, Atradius. “As a large financial services employer, it allows us to identify new talent and introduce the future workforce where we can continue to support them as their careers progress. We are delighted to see Chris receive his second promotion since joining Atradius and becoming a key part of our strategic team.”
