Brady goes carbon neutral

Leading trading, risk and logistics software provider for global commodities markets, Brady Plc (www.bradyplc.com) is rolling out an Environmental Policy that will define the company’s stance on environmental and sustainability issues and will detail Brady’s strategy, pledges, targets and the review process.  It will also define responsibility and accountability for adherence.

Under the Paris agreement, the EU has committed to carbon neutrality by the second half of the 21st century and is aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 40% by 2030 with the objective for this being to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius and protect our planet.

As an environmentally responsible organisation, Brady recognizes the importance of supporting this initiative and is actively working towards becoming 100% carbon neutral.  Brady aims to meet this challenging target with the support of independent consultants, and is currently investigating increasing energy efficiency, reducing carbon usage relating to business travel and reviewing clean energy consumption.

An established bike to work scheme is already in place across the company with the additional offering of safety equipment and other provisions to assist employees in adopting a greener approach to commuting.

“Brady will communicate its carbon neutral status as this project progresses,” says the company.  “We remain committed to achieving our targets and helping to minimize the effects of global warming.”
