BKW migrates to Brady cloud

One of the largest regional power utilities with ownership of largely hydroelectric and renewable energy generation assets, BKW Energie AG is migrating its pan European power scheduling operations to Brady’s Cloud services (www.bradyplc.com/cloud-services) in order to achieve greater efficiencies and enter new markets faster, supporting its future growth objectives.

Brady’s power scheduling solution (www.bradyplc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Fact-sheet-power-energy-trading.pdf) will help BKW Energie AG to meet regional TSO communication protocol and deadlines in a timely and compliant manner.

By using functions to prepare and send schedules efficiently to meet gate closure times, avoiding penalties, BKW will be able to react quickly to rectify problems in the power delivery process with automatic notification from TSOs using a wide range of status alerts.  In addition, the solution gives a consolidated view of volumes being scheduled in real-time across different markets for more informed decision-making.

BKW has been a customer of Brady’s for over ten years and uses Brady’s pan European scheduling solution (www.bradyplc.com/european-physical-power-trading-solutions) to deliver traded power across Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Austria and the UK in real-time.
