Kate Sharp has over 30 years experience in the Financial Services industry, over 15 of which have been in the Invoice Finance industry. She began her career in 1972 at Lloyds Bank.

 

From 1989 to 1998 she climbed through the ranks at BNY/International Factors. She became their Manager of Client Services before leaving to join Royal Bank Invoice Finance as their Operations Manager in March 1998.

 

In 1999 Kate joined Highams Business Solutions as the Factoring Business Manager, a role responsible for providing business expertise, consultancy and ensuring the delivery of quantifiable business benefits to clients. During this time Kate worked with invoice finance providers across Europe, in America, Australia and South Africa.

 

She joined the Factors and Discounters Association as Chief Executive Officer in 2003. At the FDA she is responsible for managing the FDA team to deliver educational courses, events, lobbying, PR, industry statistics, on-line initiatives and Member guidelines.

 

A great advocate of education and training Kate, having passed the ADF&D Certificate Course and the FDA Diploma set up a tuition and support group at both IFL and RBSCS for staff engaged in these courses.
