Chris Smith is an investment manager at The Wine Investment Fund, the
granddaddy of the publically offered wine investment funds.
A Bristol University economics graduate, Chris worked as an economist for the
UK government before moving into the financial sector, latterly with the
Financial Services Authority, simultaneously building an extensive knowledge of
the wine market, providing advice and commentaries for clients of a UK broker
and, since 1996, analysing wine pricing data to identify buying and selling
opportunities and generating strong returns for specific wine portfolios.
