Trade credit insurer Atradius has announced that well-known industry figure Alun
Sweeney as the new commercial head of their UK and Ireland business.
Alun Sweeney brings with him over a decade’s experience in the credit insurance
industry, and returns to the UK after 5 years based in Hong Kong running
Atradius’ global new markets proposition, heading up the Atradius business in
the United Arab Emirates, India, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.
He was also responsible for developing strategic partnerships in other Asia
Pacific countries.
Before his move to Asia, Alun was well-known within the industry as the head of
Atradius UK’s Global Unit, which he joined in 1998, following over 10 years with
the Norwich Union Group.
His new role will include responsibility for all Atradius commercial activities
in the UK and Ireland, commencing November 1st 2010.
Atradius’ Chief Market Officer, Peter Ingenlath commented: “We are delighted
