Provider of financial process automation software BasWare Corporation has
established an international eInvoicing unit.
The unit will provide businesses with a translation platform that enables the
seamless monitored transfer and processing of electronic invoices between
customer and supplier systems.
The service already offers access to thousands of suppliers and buyers that are
connected to other platforms through an existing network enabled by numerous
roaming agreements.
eInvoicing is becoming standard practice in Scandinavia, with the Danish
Government even refusing to accept paper invoices.
The new unit will help European organisations benefit from cost reductions
through reduced manual tasks such as scanning and printing, and improved data
accuracy and control.
According to recent research by the European Union, such organisations stand to
reduce the processing cost of an individual invoice from €1.40 to €0.40.
BasWare has created the eInvoicing unit to provide a common platform through
which all invoices can be translated.
The eInvoicing service works on a pay-as-you-go model and is accessible through
a web portal.
Invoices are presented in HTML format and automatically sent and received
through the eInvoicing service, eliminating the need to re-key information.
The automation of these processes improves data accuracy, adding value for both
supplier and customer.
Esa Tihilä, General Manager, Europe and Americas, BasWare commented: “At present
businesses are forced to implement bolt-on software packages to transmit
invoices, which is time consuming and expensive.
"The BasWare solution is compatible with all ERP platforms and eInvoicing
formats.
“BasWare’s web-based service can save huge amounts of time and money by
streamlining invoice processing.
"We see huge growth potential in the eInvoicing market as Europe as a whole is
just taking the first steps in eInvoicing.”
BasWare has over six years of experience in eInvoicing in the Nordic region, and
is now extending the service across Europe.
