One in five UK companies have lost business in the last year to a competitor
paying bribes, a recent report claims.
The report, by private investigator Control Risks, is based on a survey of 350
business figures from in seven countries.
As many as 10% said bribes could sometimes amount to half the cost of a project.
The oil, mining, gas and construction sectors were identified as being most
vulnerable.
